LEBANON, Pa. – Led by a victory from senior
Sarah Rinehart (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), the Gettysburg College women's cross country team placed second among eight teams in its final non-championship race of the season at the Lebanon Valley College Last Chance Run Fast Invitational on Friday at Union Canal Tunnel Park.
East Stroudsburg won the event with a score of 27 and was followed by Gettysburg (62), Millersville (72), Messiah (87), Pitt.-Johnstown (150), Lebanon Valley (179), PSU-Berks (199), and Lancaster Bible (204).
Today's race allowed runners from several teams the opportunity to post qualifying times.
Leading Gettysburg was Rinehart, who blazed through the 6,000-meter course in 22:33 to win the race in a field of 78 runners. Also breaking the top-10 was freshman
Ashlyn Booher (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs), who placed 10th with a new personal record (PR) time of 24:45.

Kathrin O'Brien (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) and senior
Danielle DeMichael (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) finished right behind one another with new PR's, placing 15th and 16th, respectively, in 24:57 and 24:59. Freshman
Amy Milner (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca), completed the team scoring, taking 29th in 25:39.
Gettysburg competes at the Centennial Conference Championship on Oct. 27 at Haverford College. The women's race begins at 11:00 a.m.
