How It Happened…
  • First Half:  It only took Gettysburg 57 seconds to score the game's lone goal of the match. A Cardinals defender went to pass the ball to a teammate, but Muskus was there to intercept the pass, taking a few dribbles and faking out a defender on her way to the cage to drill the shot into the lower left corner for her ninth goal of the season. The Orange and Blue looked to tack on a second tally as freshman Lena Schaefer (Atlanta, Ga./Lakeside) took a shot with under 30 to go in the half, but a Cardinals' defender made the stop inside the post. Fernandez made three of her match-high five saves in the period.
  • Second Half: Catholic looked to tie the game with under 35 minutes to go, but Sammon preserved the Bullets' one-goal lead with back-to-back stops, including an unbelievable diving save to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard. Both the Bullets and Cardinals took four shots each in the final period.
By the Numbers
  • Gettysburg owned the 11-6 edge in shots while Catholic held the advantage in corner kicks, 9-4.
  • With the win tonight, the Bullets' tallied their seventh shutout of the season and went undefeated in non-conference action.
  • The Orange and Blue hit their double-digit win total for the first time since 2015.
Where the Series Stands Now
