The Short Story: Gettysburg scored in the 92
nd minute to upend the Johns Hopkins men's soccer team on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Homewood Field.

How it Happened
• Sophomore
Liam Creedon nearly put the Blue Jays on the board early when he fired a rocket from 25 yards out, but a diving Thomas Keane knocked the shot away in the 13
th minute.
• Connor Fife broke through in the 38
th minute for the Bullets when he intercepted a Blue Jay pass and tucked a shot under sophomore
Xander LeFevre from 15 yards out. Just over two minutes later, Creedon was given a second yellow card and Hopkins would play a man down for the remainder of the game. Â
• Oladayo Thomas had a one-on-one with LeFevre in the 49
th minute, but a kick-save by the Blue Jay keeper kept the score at 1-0.
• Hopkins drew level in the 64
th minute off a
Brian Lenzer free kick. Lenzer struck the free kick from 35 yards out close to the right sideline. Junior
Achim Younker headed the ball at the top of the box and classmate
Liam Moylan poked it past Keane from in-tight.
• Thomas would provide the heroics in less than two minutes into the overtime to send Gettysburg home with the win. He played the ball to Jack Carroll, who was running down the right side. Carroll dribbled into the box   Â

What it Means
• Hopkins falls to 51-22-11 all-time against Gettysburg and has its nine-game unbeaten streak in the series snapped. This was the Bullets first win in the series since October 28, 2009. This is also the eighth meeting since 2008 that has been decided by just one goal and five that has gone to overtime.
