Knoller wins two to lead Bullets over Southern Virginia

THE SKINNY STORY
Maya Lily Knoller (Bernardsville, N.J./Newark Academy) was Gettysburg's sole multi-event winner, as many second and third place finishes by the Bullets carried them to victory over Southern Virginia.

THE LEADERS
• Knoller earned first-place honors in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.73, and took home first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.23.

FOR THE FOES
• Kelsie Drennen won the 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, and 100 butterfly for Southern Virginia
 
THE REST OF THE STORY
Morgan Krepp (Dallas, Texas/Ursuline Academy of Dallas) and Maggie Sedlak (Darien, Conn./Darien) completed a one-two effort in the 200 freestyle. Krepp clocked in at 2:03.42, while Sedlak touched at 2:05.87.
• The 400 freestyle relay B-Team, of Valerie Lawton (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), Bramley Hawkins (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill), Lindsay Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downington East), and Olivia Evans (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J/Egg Harbor Twp.), took home first with a time of 3:48.51.
 
THE INSIDE STORY
• The Gettysburg 200 medley relay A-Team, of Evans, Emily Burke, Annabel Gorman (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), and Regan Tait (Boyds, Md./Northwest) finished second with a time of 1:58.10.
• Blake clocked in at 11:23.44 for a second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle. Ava Collin (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) finished third at 11:27.47.
• Tait nabbed second place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.00, and teammate Natalie Wisniewski followed in third at 26.15.
Elissa Clancy (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) swam to a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly, at 1:01.37. Blake was a second behind in third place at 1:02.55.
• Lawton took home second in the 100 freestyle (56.46), narrowly edging Bramley Hawkins, who clocked in at 56.53.
Mia Yancey (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) earned second in the 100 backstroke at 1:01.62, followed by Emma Anderson (Manhasset, N.Y/Manhasset), in third place at 1:02.29.
Lauren Manning (West Hartford, Conn./Conrad) touched second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:36.70, and teammate Gorman followed in third at 5:49.82.
• Anderson (1:10.65) and Krepp (1:10.70) finished the one-two-three in the 100 breaststroke, coming in second and third behind teammate Knoller.

Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday against Carnegie Mellon. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
