It took less than 12 minutes for all three goals to find the back of the net in the Muhlenberg men's soccer team's 2-1 setback to Gettysburg.
 
Freshman Taylan Akdag's second goal of the season came in response to the Bullets' (7-4-1, 3-1-1) sixth-minute tally. The frosh took a feed from the right side from senior Jordan Cimring, spun to his left, and deposited the ball into the lower right 90 in the 11th minute.  Gettysburg netted the go-ahead goal in the 12th minute.
 
Muhlenberg (7-4-2, 0-4-1) made a strong push for the equalizer in the 89th minute, including three shots within nine seconds.  Senior Zach Cimring corralled the rebound off an initial blocked shot and tested the Gettysburg goalie before freshman Chris Richards attempted a shot  
 
The Mules built a 16-12 advantage in shots; however, both teams put four shots on target.

Both Muhlenberg and Gettysburg entered the game ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region. The Bullets check in at No. 7, followed the Mules at No. 8.
