COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's indoor track and field team concluded a busy weekend with an appearance at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
Sprints
A trio of Devils did battle in the 60m with
Eliza Gichner claiming 21st at 8.83.
Cyara Lambert and
Morgan Mooradian posted times of 9.21 and 9.34 respectively.
Leah Biwott was the highest finishing DC runner during the 200m as she landed at 18th by hitting the line in 29.35, while Gichner rounded out the Top-20 at 29.66. Mooradian clocked in at 29.80 and Lambert posted a 31.09.
Lillian Cusa was the only member of the Red and White in the 400m with a 1:09.67 good for 30th.
Field
Biwott secured a Top-10 result in the high jump posting a mark of 1.47m for eighth. Mooradian also competed finishing in 14th thanks to a 1.37m.
Elizabeth Lieb earned a podium spot for the triple jump as her distance of 10.78m was good for second. She also took part in the long jump with a 4.81m locking down seventh, while Biwott hit 4.68m for ninth.
The duo of
Claire Shearer and
Sarayne Forbes launched the weight 11.58m and 10.38m respectively.Â
Special
Sophia Kovatsis competed in the pentathlon for the Red and White and had a great showing taking second in the event overall with 2610 points. She was the victor in the shot put portion with a mark of 9.81m which bested her next closest competitor by over a meter. Kovatsis then had a pair of second-place finishes in the 60m hurdles (9.89) and 800m (2:41.76).
Next on the Track
Dickinson makes the short trip over to Lancaster on Friday afternoon for the Blue & White Invitational at Franklin & Marshall College beginning at 2pm.Â
