Women’s Tennis Falls in Spring Break Opening Game to Haverford (Pa.)

Orlando, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team opened their Spring Break Trip in Orlando when they fell to Haverford (Pa.) College in a non-conference game by a final score of 9-0 at the USTA National Tennis Center.

Doubles (Haverford, 3-0)

  • No. 1: Haverford's (2-0) Abbey Russano and Anne Tobin won by a score of 8-5 over senior All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem and sophomore All-OAC Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown/Wadsworth)
  • No. 2: Ellie Esterowitz and Summer Williams won by a score of 8-1 over junior Academic All-OAC Lizzy Cole (Shaker Heights) and sophomore Kierstyn Yates (Grafton/Midview)
  • No. 3: Annie Barrett and Liv Pindzola won by a score of 8-4 over freshman Hanna LeMaster (Avon) and freshman Emma Trost (Norwalk)

Singles (Haverford, 9-0)

  • No. 1: Racheal Fitzgerald won by scores of 7-6 (4-0), 6-7 (0-8), 1-0 (8-0) over Morris
  • No. 2: Emily Oh won by scores of 6-3, 6-4 over Heideman
  • No. 3: Mimi Lavin won by scores of 6-0, 6-1 over Yates
  • No. 4: Summer Williams won by scores of 6-1, 6-0 over LeMaster
  • No. 5: Annie Barrett won by scores of 6-1, 6-0 over Cole
  • No. 6: Liv Pindzola won by scores of 6-1, 6-0 over Trost

BW (0-5) continues their Spring Break Trip on Wednesday, March 9 when the team plays St. Mary's (Ind.) College at 10:30 a.m. at the USTA National Tennis Center.
