WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Washington and Lee wrestling team dropped both of its matches on Saturday, placing fourth overall out of 10 teams at the Budd Whitehill Duals hosted by Lycoming College.
 
Ohio Northern finished first overall, followed by Ithaca, Castleton and W&L.  The Generals, now 5-3 overall for the season, went 1-1 on Friday and were defeated by Ithaca (36-12) and Castleton (28-10) on Saturday.
 
Senior 285-pounder Clay Chadwick (Arlington, Va. / Yorktown) was the only General to win both of his matches on Saturday, notching a forfeit win against Ithaca and claiming a win by fall (1:52) over Castleton's Shea Garand.
 
Junior Cameron Blizard (Greensboro, N.C. / Ragsdale) also won by forfeit against Ithaca in his match at 174 pounds, while junior 125-pounder Riley Parker (Virginia Beach, Va. / First Colonial) posted a 19-5 major decision over Owen Kretschmer of Castleton.
 
W&L returns to action on January 19 when it hosts Averett for a 7:30 pm contest.
