HAVERFORD, Pa. - Swarthmore College Men's Cross Country raced to fifth place finish at the Mainline Invitational on the campus of Haverford College on Friday afternoon.
Aidan Cantine led the Garnet charge with a 26th place finish. The junior crossed the finish line of the four-mile course with a time of 20:16.9. Not far behind Cantine, was freshman
Atticus Hempel in 29th place with a time of 20:19.6.
Jay van Adrichem Boogaert was the next Garnet runner to cross the finish line with a time of 21:29.6. Van Adrichem Boogaert toed the line in 48th place, while Rowan Orlijan-Rhyne collected a 54th place finish with a time of 21:44.6.
Harrison Kim added a time of 21:51.9, and
Colin DeLaney was the sixth Garnet runner to finish with a time of 22:00.9.
Aiden Tomov crossed in 22:08.4 as
Jonah Ring and
Robert Mirabello added times of 23:05.2 and 23:14.6, respectively.
Aakash Koduru closed with a time of 24:39.2, while
Alex Skeldon rounded out the Swarthmore runners with a time of 25:17.1.
In addition to battling regional foes Haverford, Muhlenberg, Widener and Elizabethtown, the Garnet also took to the course against Division I programs in Villanova, Penn and La Salle. Swarthmore will be back on the trail on Friday, October 1st at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
