Meet Highlights
- Gettysburg kicked off the second day of its invitational with a win in the 200 medley relay. Cooper provided the spark in the race, posting the only sub-30 split in the breaststroke and the relay closed with a time of 1:47.30. The Bullets didn't trail in either of the remaining two relay races with the 800 team of Crilly, Cooper, Wojnar, and freshman Grace Bobeck (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury) winning by over 12 seconds at 7:53.14.
- Wojnar secured her second individual win of the weekend with a dominant display in the 400 IM. The sophomore finished nearly 10 seconds ahead of the competition at 4:33.79. Wojnar received a strong challenge from Dickinson first-year Sarah Caron in the 200 back, but the Gettysburg swimmer turned on the jets at the halfway point to blow by her Red Devil foe in 2:06.04.
- Crilly built a two-second lead through the first half of the 200 free and maintained that margin to the end, finishing in 1:56.50. The senior couldn't make an early lead stick in the 100 free as Kosko came from behind to win by 0.13 with a time of 53.32. Gettysburg grabbed the top four spots in the 100 free as freshman Sarah Fravel (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) and Bobeck touched the wall behind Kosko and Crilly.
- Cooper put four wins in the book on Saturday, including a sweep of the breaststroke races. She out-ran the competition by nearly two seconds in the 100 breast (1:06.37) and she cruised to a four-second win in the 200, logging the fastest split among the field in each 50-yard segment and finishing in 2:25.12.
- Manning dominated the 1,650 race and won by nearly 18 seconds with a time of 17:47.80. Her 1,000 yard split (10:45.31) marked the fifth-fastest in program history, while her final time was sixth-best.
- Gettysburg placed four swimmers among the top seven in the 100 fly with freshman Elissa Clancy (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) posting the seventh-fastest time (58.88) in program history on the way to the win.
- Caron and freshman Hannah Wasson (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) battled in the 100 back with the Dickinson swimmer establishing a new program record (57.32) to pull out the win. Wasson remained No. 2 at Gettysburg in the event by topping her personal best with a time of 57.91.
