Boadi's Program Record Leads Women at Frank Colden, Retter and Teszler Earn Top Finishes

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's track & field finished first overall out of 24 teams at the Ursinus College Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.

Krystle Boadi headlined a successful showing for the Garnet as she claimed a first place victory in the 200m dash and a runner-up finish in the 60m dash. The senior also set a pair of personal-bests and a program record in the 60m dash. 

Rose Teszler and Quinn Basewitz shined in the distance events as the duo finished first and second overall in the mile run. 

In the field events, Adria Retter finished first in the shot put with a season-best mark, while Trelstad put together a runner-up finish in the high jump.



HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boadi crossed the finish at 26.61 to win the 200m dash. She also placed second in the 60m dash with a program-record time of 7.95. The senior advanced to the finals after winning the prelims with a 8.00 mark. Both efforts were program records. 

- Teszler and Basewitz claimed the top two positions in the mile run. Teszler was first with a 5:15.92 effort, while Basewitz followed at 5:22.74. Alina Irvine also earned points in the event with a time of 5:28.83 to take seventh overall. Teszler paced the field for the entire race as she took nine seconds off her previous-best effort in the event. 


- Hannah Garrou took sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 27.61. The first-year narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 60m dash finals with a time of 8.50 to place 10th overall in the prelims. Garrou's 200m effort marked a personal best. 

- Retter earned a first place finish in the shot put with a top distance of 13.50m. The throw marked a season-best for the senior and places her inside the top-15 nationally. 

- Trelstad placed second in the high jump with a top height of 1.52m after clearing the bar on their first attempt. 

- Morgan Mouer crossed the finish line at 2:27.68 to finish third in the 800m run. Olivia Montini finished 10th in the event with a time of 2:30.28. 

- The 4x400m relay of Gabby Johnson, Cami Bortz, Johanna Schubert and Mouer finished second overall with a time of 4:07.56. 

UP NEXT
The Garnet return to action next weekend at the David Hemery Valentine in Boston.
