STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Swarthmore College Men's Track and Field opened 2020 competing at the NYC Gotham Cup.
Deante Bryan crossed the finish line of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.82.
Paul Seth and Ryan Mullns added times of 8.01 and 8.05, respectively in the event.
Bastiaan Phair finished the 400-meter run in a time of 54.42, while
Judah Raab added a time of 55.13. In the same event run,
Alex Flowers and Mullins finished 1-2 in their heat. With Mullins right on his trail, Flowers crossed in a time of 57.33. Mullins recorded a time of 57.39.
Ethan Rothenberg notched a 19th place finish in the mile. The sophomore recorded a time of 4:34.34, and
Jonah Ring added a time of 4:43.72.
The 3,000 meter race saw
Vaughn Parts finish in 9:06.77, and
Nicholas Pugliano cross the finish line in 9:45.70.
Evan Baker crossed the finish line of the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.05.
In the long jump, Phair recorded a mark of 4.88-meters (16'-1").
Gabe Stuger, a first place finish his section of the shot put, notched a throw of 10.22 meters (33'-5").
Swarthmore returns to action on January 25th as they travel to Lancaster, Pa. to take place in the Diplomat Open. The event, hosted by Franklin & Marshall, is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m.
