rd-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team grabbed a pair of wins on Saturday, defeating Bryn Mawr (9-0) and 24
th-ranked Christopher Newport (7-2).

How it Happened • Bryn Mawr
• Hopkins opened the day with a shutout of Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead in doubles. Sophomore

Jessica Liang beat Audrey Camacho and Amalia Parrish, 8-3, at first.

Margo Gerke and senior
Chrissy Simon lost just one game in their win over Francesca Caramazza and Christina Xue at second. Freshman
Anya Gunewardena and senior
Mika Inadomi won by walkover at third.
• Simon was a 7-6 (2), 6-3 winner over Parrish at first singles. Gerke dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Camacho at second. Gunewardena needed just 12 games in her win over Xue at third.
• Freshman
Amanda Ruci also lost just one game as she beat Caramazza 6-1, 6-0 at fourth to clinch the win. Freshman
Sophie Saland bested Libby Hemp 6-0, 6-2 at fifth. And at sixth, Oliver won by walkover.

• The Blue Jays swept the doubles matches, losing just six games, to take an early 3-0 lead in the match. Sophomore
Anjie Kashyap and junior
Sophia Strickland beat Johanna Ranta-aho and Olivia Reed, 8-2, at first. Asokumar and Liang won by the same score at second over Colette Gilbert and Amanda Yermal. Freshman
Evelyn Chang and senior
Katie Gauch also won by an 8-2 score, beating Reagan Delp and Kara Ferner at third.
• Kashyap took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ranta-aho at first singles. Strickland also won in straight sets, defeating Ferner 7-5, 6-3 at second. Reed came from behind to beat Chang 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10) at third.
• Delp picked up a second point for the Captains with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Asokumar at fourth. Liang took a 6-4, 6-2 win over Burgess at fifth. Gauch won by the same score, and clinched the win, with her win over Ana Clara Borga at sixth.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 22-2 all-time against Bryn Mawr and has won 17 straight in the series. In addition, JHU is now 3-0 against Christopher Newport.

• Hopkins is back in action on Sunday, April 14 as the Blue Jays host the Mary Washington Eagles. The non-conference match is slated for a noon start at the JHU Tennis Courts.
