Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully) both placed in the top 10 to lead the Gettysburg College men's cross country team to an outstanding sixth-place finish among 43 schools in the "White" race of the Paul Short Run on Saturday at Lehigh University.

The Finish Line
- McKeever and Sheldon blazed through the 8,000-meter course in personal-record times of 25:45.4 and 25:47.8, respectively finishing seventh and eighth, respectively, out of 341 runners.
- Finishing as the No. 3 runner was freshman Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum), crossing the finish line with a PR time of 26:37.8 to claim 52nd.
- Rounding out the scoring was freshman Joseph Potz (Crestline, Calif./Rim of the World) and senior Aren Heitmann (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe), who both achieved PR times by placing 70th (26:52.3) and 75th (26:53.8).
Paul Short Run History
- The 46th Lehigh Paul Short Invitational is the largest intercollegiate cross country meet in the nation and features 6,000 student-athletes from 450 colleges or high schools.
