GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-6 decision at No. 10-ranked Gettysburg (Pa.) on Friday afternoon at Shirk Field.
The Polar Bears fall to 3-2, while the Bullets improve to 4-1.
The game was the second in the past three days against a top-10 opponent, as ONU fell at No. Salisbury (Md.) 24-2 on Wednesday.
Junior Cole Zaferakis (Liverpool, N.Y.) had 13 saves in goal for Northern.
GC led 5-0 after the first quarter when sophomore John Lynn (Cincinnati/Sycamore) got ONU on the board with his team-best seventh goal of the season 2:09 into the second quarter.
Gettysburg led 13-3 at halftime and 17-4 after three quarters.
In all, five different players scored goals for Ohio Northern.
The Bullets out-shot ONU 53-36 and won the ground ball battle 35-22.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday night with a road game at Trine (Ind.)
