It was another day, another medalist for the Muhlenberg women's golf team.
Two days after senior
Aine Filler won the Susquehanna Invitational, junior
Kat Hodges took top honors at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
The Mules finished third in a close competition that had the top three teams separated by five strokes. Their team score of 368 was their second-best ever at the Muhlenberg Invitational.
Hodges shot an 84 to tie an Ursinus golfer for the low score and won the tiebreaker, lowest score on the back nine (42 vs. 44). Hodges was remarkably consistent in winning a tournament for the third time in her career. She completed all 18 holes in five strokes or less and had only one double bogey.
Playing at home for the last time, Filler finished in third, one stroke back, to place in the top 10 in her 16th consecutive tournament.Â
There were only three birdies in the tournament, and the Mules were responsible for two of them. Filler shot a 3 on the par-4 18th hole, and sophomore
Katie Chen landed a birdie on the par-3 seventh hole.
