• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins baseball team hit seven home runs, including two three-run shots from Chris Festa, as the Blue Jays defeated visiting McDaniel, 13-3 on Friday afternoon on Babb Field.

How it Happened
• Colin Franke took the first pitch of the ballgame from Sean McCracken and deposited it over the left field wall for the 1-0 lead. A single and a walk put two men on for AJ Finch who singled home the second Green Terror run of the inning as McDaniel took a quick 2-0 lead.
• Back-to-back walks to Tim Kutcher and Mike Eberle brought up Chris Festa who quickly put JHU back in the lead with one swing as he took the first pitch he saw over the left-center field fence to put the Blue Jays up 3-2.
• JHU added two more runs in the second as Bradley Parsons and Kutcher both took McDaniel starter, Brandon Richmond, deep to increase the Hopkins lead to 5-2.
• Parsons showed off his defensive skills as he robbed Ryan Downes of a two-run homer in the top of the third as he went over the wall to bring the ball back and keep the score 5-2.
• The home run fest continued for Hopkins in the fifth as back-to-back shots from Nate Davis and Chris DeGiacomo made it a 7-2 JHU lead.
• Festa hit his second three-run shot in the sixth as the junior took the 2-2 pitch over the center field fence to give Johns Hopkins a 10-2 lead.
• The Green Terror got a run in the seventh on a solo home run from DJ Biscoe to make the score 10-3
• AJ King hit the seventh home run for the Blue Jays as his solo shot made it 11-2 in the seventh. Pete Manny later worked a walk with the bases loaded to make it 12-2 and an RBI fielder's choice for Robby Faris made the score 13-3 as the Blue Jays went on to win the game, 13-3.
