Garnet Cruise To 70-59 Win At Bryn Mawr
BRYN MAWR, Pa. -- Swarthmore College Women's Basketball beat Bryn Mawr College 70-59 on the road on Wednesday night. All 10 Garnet players contributed to the scoring total.
Trailing 21-20 with 5:15 left in the first half, Swarthmore (2-6, 1-4) went on a 13-0 run over the next 4:12 and never trailed the Owls (0-7, 0-4) again. They had a 33-23 lead at the break.

Abigail Pirron and freshman forward
Karinna Papke led the Garnet with 11 points each. That's an early career high for Papke to go along with six rebounds and zero turnovers.
The Garnet had another impressive night from the free-throw line, shooting 19-of-23. On Thursday Swarthmore made its first 14 attempts and finished 17-of-19 in a home loss to Ursinus College.
Swarthmore sophomore guard
Isabelle Ewart tied a career high with three steals as the team had 10 on Wednesday, marking the first time since Nov. 18, 2016 that the Garnet recorded double-digit takeaways in two straight games. The Garnet had 12 on Saturday against Franklin & Marshall College. They only had double-digit steals twice all of last season and three times two seasons ago.

Kendall Tribus had a team-high eight boards as her squad outrebounded Bryn Mawr 45-36.
The second contest of Swarthmore's four-game road trip is on Saturday at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., at 2 p.m. The Garnet don't play in Swarthmore at Tarble Pavilion again until Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. against McDaniel College.
