Women’s Track & Field Competes at Susquehanna Challenge

Results

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's track and field team competed at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Challenge on Saturday.

Freshman Kathrin O'Brien (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) notched a fifth-place showing in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a time of 19:53.69.
 
Senior Paige Wesolowski (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket Regional), junior Sullie Desmond (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe), senior Danielle DeMichael (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), and freshman Grace Corcoran (Sandy Hook, Conn./Newtown) claimed fourth in the 4x800-meter relay to finish with a 10:42.51 time. The quartet also registered sixth in the 4x400-meter relay (4:32.07).
 
Wesolowski also collected seventh in the pole vault (9-00.25) and eighth in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 2:33.95.
 
The Bullets will next compete at the Roanoke Noke Elite Meet on Saturday, Feb. 9, with a time to be announced.
