GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Muhlenberg College held on for a third-set tiebreaker at second singles to clinch a 5-4 victory over Gettysburg College in men's tennis action Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (5-9, 0-5 CC) jumped in front with two wins in doubles action. Seniors Andrew Corwin (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and Nick D'Amore (Scotch Plains, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) broke out for an 8-2 win at the second flight, while sophomore Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and junior Jacob Meehan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) won 8-5 at No. 3.
 
Muhlenberg (4-7, 1-4 CC) took the lead with wins at first and third singles, but Brown kept it tied with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Andrew Natko at No. 5. Following a third-set tiebreaker win at the fourth flight, Alex Dagilis clinched the match for the Mules by out-lasting junior Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) in three sets 7-5, 5-7, 7-5.
 
Sophomore Patrick Bodovitz (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) concluded the match with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6.
 
Gettysburg meets Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
