HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Cross Country finished as the top NCAA Division III team at the Main Line Invitational on Friday night on the campus of Haverford College.
Swarthmore senior Xiaojing Zeng had the top time among Division III runners with a time of 18:08.7 in the three-mile run.
Kenzie Himelein-Wachowiak and Nora Blodgett had the second and third marks for the Garnet with times of 18:13.7 and 18:32.9. Phoebe Whiteside recorded Swarthmore's fourth score with a time of 18:37.5. Freshman Rose Teszler recorded Swarthmore's fifth time, clocking in at 19:21.9.
While Division I's Villanova and Penn finished officially in first and second, Swarthmore's score beat Division III's Haverford and Muhlenberg and Division I's St. Joseph's.
The Garnet are back in action on Sept. 29 at the Paul Short Meet.
