Women's Golf Wins Second Straight

After winning its home Invitational, the Muhlenberg women's golf team won the Swarthmore DuPont Invitational, shooting a team total of 901. 

It was the first time ever that the Mules won a two-day regular-season tournament. Their only previous titles in multiple-round tournaments came in the 2001 and 2007 Centennial Conference Championships.

Senior Nya Johnson was the women's individual champion, winning by six shots with rounds of 94 and 96 totaling 190. Johnson had nine pars during the tournament, including eight in the second round.

Senior Shaena Brusey wasn't far behind Johnson with rounds of 98 and 101 for 199. Brusey birdied the 314-yard par-4 third hole in the first round.

Sophomore Kaylin Foss shot rounds of 111 and 109. Foss shot a par on the 492-yard par-5 18th hole in the first round and then in the second round made a par in the 345-yard par-4 16th hole. 

Making her Muhlenberg debut, sophomore Yesmine Olewine showed improvement between rounds by taking 20 strokes off of a 156 in the first round to shoot 136 in the second round. Olewine made her first career par on the 364-yard par-4 10th hole in the second round.
