After trading early goals with No. 13 Franklin & Marshall, the Muhlenberg men's soccer team fell, 2-1, in its Centennial Conference opener.
 
Each team's first shot found the back of the net, with the Diplomats (6-1) scoring just over three minutes in followed by the Mules (5-1-1) just over a minute later. Sophomore Stephen Carton netted Muhlenberg's goal, his third in as many games, from five yards out off a feed from senior Jordan Cimring (pictured above). Franklin & Marshall scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute.
 
The Mules had a chance to net the equalizer in the 88th minute when freshman Taylan Akdag forced the Diplomat goalkeeper to make a save.
