SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore College Softball's balanced hitting was not enough as it fell to Cabrini 4-3 at Clothier Field on Tuesday.
The Garnet had seven hits in the game, all recorded by a different player. Cabrini had 12.
The Cavaliers scored first, plating one in the top of the first on a single. Their next run came on a double in the fourth.
Swarthmore quickly responded in the bottom of the fourth as sophomore
Mika Maenaga scored on a ground ball to second base hit by junior

It was the top of the sixth when Cabrini expanded its lead to 4-1. Again, the Garnet bounced back with a run. This time it was junior
Kalli Segel driving in Maenaga on a single.
The Garnet put together a small rally in the bottom of the seventh, but an infield single by senior
Marit Vike is the only hit that resulted in a run. Senior
Elizabeth Curcio scored on the play.
Sophomore
Maddie Bowe pitched five innings for Swarthmore and allowed two earned runs. Sophomore
Lucy Decker pitched two innings in relief and allowed two unearned runs.
