How it Happened
First Half:
  • The opening half was a struggle for both teams, for the majority of the action, as neither could notch a goal until Cenatiempo put the Bullets on the scoreboard with 94 seconds remaining. Senior Isabel Klatt (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) dished a pass from the left wing to Cenatiempo as she made a move past a LVC defender inside the 18 and shot perfectly into the left corner of the frame. The Bullets fired 10 shots to the Dutchmen's four.
Second Half:
  • LVC would get the equalizer at the 53rd minute as Madison Carper nailed a long-range free kick from the right side of the field into the left of the net.
  • The Bullets wasted little time padding their lead in the second half when Muskus collected the rebound off Cenatiempo' s shot attempt at the 70th minute for her first goal. Less than 15 seconds later, Muskus found the open gap to feed the ball through to Cenatiempo as she took the breakaway to the frame to record her second tally. Nine minutes later, Slevin found an open Muskus on the left side who took a few dribbles and drilled a shot into the right corner for the final tally of the game.
Quote from the Coach
"A good sign for us today that when we are not at our best that we showed grit and quality when we needed it," said head coach Matt Garrett.

By the Numbers
  • Gettysburg concluded the game outshooting Lebanon Valley 16-9.
  • Cunningham stopped three shots while LVC's Serena Donmoyer finished with six saves.
  • Muskus has either scored or had an assist in the last four games.
  • It has been at least 20 years since the Bullets have started the season with a 4-0 record.
  • This was the second time in Cenatiempo's career that she has scored twice in one game.
All-Time Series
Lebanon Valley holds a slight 5-6-2 lead over the Bullets in a series that started in 2002. Before today's game, the Dutchmen won the last two meetings, both of which were 1-0 overtime victories. Gettysburg last defeated Lebanon Valley in 2012 by the final score of 1-0.
