Two pole vaulters and one hammer thrower from the Muhlenberg men's track and field team placed on the first day of the Centennial Conference Championships.
Sophomore
Zach Lill (pictured above left) tied his personal best by clearing 14-1¼ to place third. The CC medal was the second of his career after he won a silver indoors in February. Freshman
Mathew Castimore (pictured above right) also tied his personal best (12-11½) in his first CC meet, placing sixth.Â

Sam Rothstein, throwing the hammer competitively for just the second time, earned the Mules a point by coming in eighth. After a mark of 93-5 last week, he improved by more than 10 feet to 104-2.
In the only contested running event, freshman
Pat Smurla set a PR by almost 20 seconds in the 10,000 meters.
The Muhlenberg women open the meet on Saturday.
