Swarthmore College Men's Track & Field had one last weekend of competition before the Centennial Conference Championships take place at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., on Feb. 23-24.
Senior
Jared Hunt made the most of his trip to the Princeton Invitational, placing fourth among a group of Division I talent by breaking his own Swarthmore record in the shot put with a distance of 51 feet 3.5 inches (15.63 meters).
Senior
Daniel Belkin also set a personal record at Princeton with a mark of 45 feet 10 inches (13.97 meters) in the triple jump. His effort was good for second at the meet and third in Swarthmore history. He took fifth in the high jump as well at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 meters). Fellow senior
Benjamin Hejna competed along side him in those events. Hejna earned fifth in the triple jump at 43 feet 7.25 inches (13.29 meters).
At Haverford,
Robert Eppley continued his season of success in the 60-meter hurdles by finishing third in 8.98 seconds. Earlier in the year he set the Swarthmore record at 8.91 seconds in that event.
