RESULTS 
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's swimming team treated the home crowd to a 110-93 victory over Bryn Mawr on Friday evening.
 
 
With the win, the Bears improved to 3-2 on the season and 2-2 in Centennial Conference action. Meanwhile, the Owls fall to 0-4 overall and 0-4 in conference play. Katie Barlow, Melissa Leonard, and Abigail Ferguson each won two individual races, as Sara Bozzomo and Alexandra Zelinske each earned first-place finishes for the Bears in their 2022-23 home opener.
 
 
The Bears got off to a fast start as the quartet of Zelinske, Ferguson, Leonard, and Molly Stevens finished first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:52.29. Ursinus carried the momentum over into the 1000 free, as Bozzomo (11:17.07) and sophomore Emily Carkhuff (11:19.62) earned the top two times. Ursinus also finished with the best two times in the 100 back as Zelinske (1:00.88) and Carkhuff (1:08.21) finished first and second.
 
 
Barlow finished first in the 200 free with a time of 2:01.96 and won the 500-freestyle touching the wall at 5:28.85. Leonard paced the Bears with victories in the 50 free (25.29) and 100 free (53.83), while Ferguson won the 200 IM (2:15.18) and 100 breast (1:09.99). Senior Charlotte Driver added a second-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:25.05, while Stevens picked up a third-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 1:03.17.
 


Ursinus will return to action tomorrow for a dual meet with Widener starting at 1pm.
