Box Score RADNOR, Pa.—Swarthmore College Field Hockey shut out the Cabrini University Cavaliers 4-0 on the road on Wednesday night to pick up the team's second win of the year. The Garnet scored a goal in each half and out-paced the Cavs in shots 17-2. Chelsea Semper recorded a hat trick in the win.
The Garnet registered 13 penalty corners while limiting the Cavaliers to four corners.
Semper who had one goal in her first two seasons, netted the first three Swarthmore goals on Wednesday and became the team's leading goal scorer this season. The Garnet got on the board in the 7th minute when Semper inserted a penalty corner and got the ball back from Marion Carr then finished for the goal.
Four minutes into the second quarter the Garnet repeated their formula for success off the corner with Semper scoring off the assist from Carr.
In the third quarter, Semper brought the ball in from the corner, set up on the post and pushed in a cross from freshman Martina Kampel.
Aron Lankford recorded two saves in goal to pick up the win.
Up next for Swarthmore is the first Centennial Conference game of the year. The Garnet face Dickinson on Saturday at 4 p.m.
