Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

No. 11 Men's Basketball Falls on Road at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - No. 11 Swarthmore College Men's Basketball fell in a Centennial Conference battle, 52-48, to Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet fall to 15-2 and 9-1 in league play, while the Red Devils improve to 4-9 and 3-5.

Swarthmore was held to less than 66 points for the first time all season. Dickinson opened the game with a 7-2 run, and Aidan Godfrey put that to a stop with a three-pointer. Mid-way through the opening half, Michael Caprise scored back-to-back buckets to give Swarthmore its first lead of the game at 13-11. George Visconti hit a pair of threes with less than two minutes remaining in the half as the Garnet took a 26-21 lead. Caprise closed out the opening frame with a layup as Swarthmore took a 28-23 lead into the half-time break.

Just over five minutes had passed in the second half as Justin Tucker hit a pair of free throws and a jumper for the Garnet. Later in the second half, Visconti knocked down a pair of free throws to tie the game up at 45.

Visconti led the way with 16 points (four rebounds) for the Garnet, as Caprise contributed with 15 points and nine rebounds. Godfrey finished the game with six points and five boards, while Tucker added four points in six minutes of action. Caprise, Godfrey and Abass Sallah all tallied a block in the contest.

Saturday's loss snaps a 35-game Centennial Conference regular season victory streak that the Garnet tied with a victory over Ursinus on Wednesday. Swarthmore's streak dated back to the 2018-19, which tied a record held by Franklin & Marshall College from 1993-96.

Swarthmore returns to the court on Thursday as they host Muhlenberg College at Tarble Pavilion. Spectators are not permitted to watch the game in person at Tarble Pavilion, but they can catch all the action with live video and live stats.
