The Muhlenberg men's soccer team suffered its second one-goal loss to a team ranked in the top 10, falling 1-0 at Johns Hopkins.
The seventh-ranked Blue Jays (9-2, 3-1) scored the lone goal with 20:09 left in the second half. Two weeks ago, the Mules (6-3-2, 0-3-1) fell at No. 4 Franklin & Marshall on a late goal.
Muhlenberg had the better of play for the majority of the game, rolling up a 20-6 advantage in shots, but could not find the mark and was shut out for the first time this season.
Despite their 0-3-1 Centennial Conference record, the Mules have outshot their first four league foes by a combined 67-47 margin. Three of their four CC opponents have been nationally ranked this season, and the other is regionally ranked.
