GETTYSBURG, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse struggled to get anything going offensively on Saturday afternoon on the road at No. 8 Gettysburg College. The Garnet fell 14-3 to the Bullets, sliding to 7-3 overall and 0-3 in Centennial action while Gettysburg improved to 9-3, 3-1 CC.

Swarthmore fell behind 3-0 before getting on the board with 9:22 left in the first quarter on a goal by Ryan Mulvey, assisted by Mason Evarts.

Gettysburg then broke the game open by rattling off six consecutive goals. Swarthmore stopped the run with an Austin Chang goal, fed by Mulvey, with 2:56 left in the first half.

The Bullets responded with five straight goals in the third and fourth quarters to put the game out of reach. Evarts tacked on a man-up goal with 1:07 to play off an assist by Talbot Child.

Frankie Dillon recorded 11 saves for Swarthmore in the loss.

The Garnet posted 32 shots to the Bullets' 42 and forced Gettysburg's goalie to come up with 10 saves. 

Swarthmore hosts Muhlenberg College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
