Both Muhlenberg cross country teams placed a runner in the top 10 at Lehigh's Paul Short Run, the largest intercollegiate meet in the country.
Freshman
Abby Dalton came in second for the women, while senior
Corey Mullins placed seventh for the men.
Dalton
(pictured above left) trailed only a Division II runner from Post in scoring the second-highest finish by a Mule female at Paul Short. Muhlenberg has placed a runner in the top five each of the last three times it competed in the big meet.
As a team, the Mules ran shorthanded, as two of their top three runners did not finish, but they still managed to finish in the top half of the large field, coming in 21st out of 43 teams.
The men were fifth out of 36 teams, defeating Gettysburg and Ursinus and trailing Swarthmore among their Centennial Conference rivals. Mullins was the third Division III runner across the line and posted the 13th top 10 finish of his career - his second at Paul Short (he also came in seventh as a freshman).
Junior
Jason Richwall was just outside the top 10, in 11th place, while freshman
Jonah Silverman (pictured above right) came in 51st out of 292 runners.
