The Muhlenberg wrestling team won the final five bouts to storm from behind and defeat Centenary, 28-18, for its third win in two days.

The win gave the Mules (10-6) double digits in victories in three consecutive seasons for only the second time in program history. They won 17, 17 and 11 matches from 2001 to 2003. The current stretch features 46 wins, a school record for a three-season span.

Sophomore Joey Lamparelli built a 10-0 lead at 125 before eventually pinning his opponent in the third period of the opening bout. It was the 15th straight win for Lamparelli and gave Muhlenberg a 6-0 lead.

The Cyclones won the next four bouts, however, to open up a big 18-6 advantage.

Senior Ronnie Grevera began the comeback with a 14-8 decision at 165, his 30th career win.

In the next bout on the mat, freshman Jack Patti squared off against the sixth-ranked wrestler in the Mideast Region. Spurred on by a large contingent of his Muhlenberg men's lacrosse teammates, Patti scored an early takedown and was close to another when his opponent became injured and could not continue. The default closed the gap to 18-15.

The next bout also featured a Mule freshman, Fletcher Goodman, against a regionally ranked opponent, a 2020 regional placewinner. Goodman (pictured above) was taken down in the first period but escaped, then recorded another escape in the second period to tie the bout at 2-2. The Cyclone wrestler chose the down position for the third period, but Goodman foiled the strategy by riding him out for the entire period, building the riding-time advantage that gave him a 3-2 win and tied the match.

Senior Luca Colestock untied it in the blink of an eye, taking his 197-pound opponent down right to his back late in the first period for his 22nd career pin.

Sophomore Keshon Davila put the icing on the cake with a dominant 16-2 major decision in the final bout, recording four takedowns and two near-falls in improving to 7-1 on the season.
