LANCASTER, Pa. – The regionally-ranked Franklin & Marshall College topped the Gettysburg College men's tennis team 9-0 in Centennial Conference action on Tuesday.
Franklin & Marshall College (6-6, 4-2 CC), which came into the match ranked 20th in the Atlantic South Region, swept doubles play against Gettysburg (5-10, 0-6 CC). Junior
Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and senior
Kevin Maier (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) dropped an 8-4 decision at the top flight.
The Diplomats swept five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Mills lost the first to Zack Levin (3-6), but bounced back to win the second 6-4. However, Levin sealed the victory in the third (10-7).
Gettysburg visits Ursinus College this Saturday at 1 p.m.
