BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Haverford College women's basketball team improved its Centennial Conference record to 13-1, the best 14-game start to conference play in program history, with a 62-24 win over host Bryn Mawr (1-19, 0-15 CC) on Tuesday evening. The victory also clinched a postseason berth for Haverford (16-3), as the Fords are now assured their ninth consecutive appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament.

Raina Gully set new career highs in points and rebounds, notching nine points and seven boards, while reigning Centennial Conference Player of the Week Anna-Sophia Capizzi had a game-best 15 points, heating up in the second half to the tune of three consecutive made three-pointers down the stretch. Hannah Zoll notched eight points and six rebounds in a well-rounded effort. The Fords held a 43-29 advantage on the glass, and scored 31 points off turnovers in the victory.

The contest started slowly on the offensive end for Haverford, as it was Bryn Mawr out to a 4-0 lead out of the gates. The Fords promptly tied the score at 6-6 with a Cortlyn Morris jumper, and did not trail for the remainder of the contest. Julianna Clark connected on a triple with under eight minutes left in the second, extending the Haverford run to 12-0, and Gully later connected on a three with 4:27 remaining in the first half, bringing the Fords run to 21-0. Gully finished a layup just before the break, leading all scorers at the half with nine points.

At the intermission, Haverford held a 29-6 advantage on the scoreboard after pouring in the final 25 points of the half and denying Bryn Mawr a basket in the second quarter.  After the intermission, the lead ballooned to 39 as Hannah Zoll connected on her second of consecutive buckets with 7:07 remaining in the third, and later reached 41 as Capizzi knocked down her third of three consecutive treys in less than two minutes to put Haverford up 55-14 with under eight minutes remaining in regulation.

Kayla Robinson had a solid fourth quarter for the Fords, coming off the bench to add six of her eight points in the stanza. Robinson converted an old fashioned three-point play as Haverford took its largest lead of the contest at 45 with 5:58 to go. Bryn Mawr was led by Meagan Murray-Bruce, as the Owls center narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Murray-Bruce also contributed three steals and a pair of blocks in the loss.

Haverford continues one of its busiest stretches of the regular season with two long road trips of dotting the rest of the week. The Fords travel to Washington College for a 6 p.m. tip-off on Thursday night, before a highly anticipated rematch at No. 19 Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon (1 p.m.)
