Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) added 16 kills to lead Gettysburg College to a 3-1 victory over Ursinus College in Centennial Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon.

Match Summary
- Set 1: Gettysburg never trailed in the first set, jumping in front 9-5 on a kill by Kuba-McCoy and taking a 15-9 lead on an ace by junior Maddie Buerle (New Providence, N.J./Union Catholic). The Bears closed the gap to two several times with the last at 19-17 on a kill by Piotrowicz. Back-to-back attack errors by the hosts set the stage for a decisive six-point run by the Bullets.
- Set 2: Ursinus pulled even with a victory in the second set. The Bears used a 9-2 run to jump in front 17-9. The Bullets ran off the next four points, but the hosts closed out the 25-14 win with an 8-1 finish.
- Set 3: Gettysburg and Ursinus went back-and-forth with multiple-point runs in the third set. The Bullets used a 5-0 run to take a 10-5 lead, but the Bears came right back with a 9-3 surge to take a 14-13 lead. Gettysburg regained the lead with a 6-0 run with half the points coming on kills by Higgins. The Bullets closed with the final six points to seal the win.
- Set 4: The final frame witnessed eight ties. The Bullets surged to a 7-3 lead and the Bears came right back to tie the match after a four-point run. Tied 20-all, Gettysburg made its final push with a jump-start from Higgins. The senior broke the tie with a kill, kicking off a match-ending 5-1 run.
