The Short Story: The 16
th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team jumped out to a 3-0 lead on visiting Washington & Lee and didn't look back in a 7-2 win Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
• The Blue Jays swept the doubles matches to take control of the match early. Seniors
Colin Muraika and
Scott Thygesen grabbed the first point of the match with an 8-1 win at second over Bobby Neuner and Mitchell Thomas.
• Sophomore
Vishnu Joshi and junior
Vik Vasan then defeated Alex Fedor and Tye Loan, 8-5, at third doubles. Juniors
Joe Cartledge and
Austin Gu wrapped up doubles play with an 8-5 win over John Rudden and Harry Shepherd at first.
• Gu then picked up the first singles point and pushed the Blue Jays closer to victory with a 6-4, 6-4 win at third over Thomas. Yoo clinched the win for Hopkins when he defeated Loan 6-2, 6-4 at sixth.
• Joshi followed with a 6-4, 7-6 (2) win at first over Shepherd to put Hopkins up 6-0. Fedor grabbed a point for the Generals when he edged Thygesen 7-6 (5), 3-6, 1-0 (5) at second.
• Neuner made it a 6-2 match when he came from behind to beat junior
Cody Kim 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (9) at fourth. Junior
Aaron Carey closed out the match with a 7-6 (4), 7-5 win over Noah Tapp at fifth.

What it Means
• Hopkins improves to 9-3 all-time against Washington & Lee and has won eight straight in the series.
