Last Week

The Diplomats ran for 311 net rushing yards en route to a 38-13 win at Juniata Saturday afternoon. Aaron Rascoe once again had a multi-touchdown performance as he tallied two touchdowns on the ground and one through the air. Rascoe was the first player to find the end zone as he ran it in from three yards out on the Diplomats' second drive of the game. Rascoe's three scores Saturday places him first in the CC for total touchdowns with 10. The running back is also tied with Dickinson's Diante Ball for first in the CC for rushing touchdowns with seven each.

Ty Tremba threw for 133 yards with a touchdown in the win. Gary Lewis reeled in 77 yards on six catches, with his longest reception coming on a 39-yard strike in the first quarter. Rascoe totaled 112 yards on 16 carries, while Mitch Wagner ran for 74 yards on nine carries. Laurence Miller hit all five PATS and nailed a 24-yard field goal to win CC Special Teams Player of the Week. F&M outgained Juniata 444-233 in total offensive yardage in the game. On the defensive side of the ball, Kevonte Beard had the Diplomats' lone sack in the game for 13 yards in the first quarter. Franklin & Marshall continued to force turnovers in the secondary, as Justin Gerhart and Joe Grasso both recorded an interception in the game. Read the recap here.

Later in the quarter, Logan Clouse found Drew Benfatti '21 for an 18-yard touchdown strike to give F&M a 14-7 lead. Conestoga Wagon Football Game

Since 1963, the Diplomats and Red Devils have battled each other for a model of the wagon that transported the two teams to play each other in both meetings back in 1889. The trophy is a gift from former athletic directors Dave Eavenson (DC) and J. Shober Barr (F&M) and is meant to symbolize the gridiron rivalry between the two programs.

Dickinson Team Preview

The Red Devils come into Saturday's game after picking up their second win of the season with a 26-7 victory over Moravian. Their only other win of the season came against Gettysburg in September, 35-9. Running back Diante Ball is a key part of Dickinson's offense, as he accounts for eight (seven rushing, one receiving) of the Red Devil's 13 offensive touchdowns this season. Ball leads the CC in yards per carry (5.8) and rushing yards per game (117.0). Wide receiver Princeton Douglass averages 12.9 yards per catch and 43 receiving yards per game. Douglass also has two receiving touchdowns this season.

October is the month-long philanthropic athletics event that supports the Diplomat tradition of excellence. In each of my first two years we have set new Raise Our Game records for both total donors and dollars raised. This year, our goal is 2,000 donors and $400,000.

Championship level experiences require championship level resources. I’m grateful for the legion of blue and white that supports our more than 650 student-athletes in their pursuit of academic excellence, competitive success and community contribution.
