HAVERFORD, Pa. - In the first of two matchups with Bi-Co neighbor Bryn Mawr, the Haverford College women's basketball team (13-3, 10-1 CC) grabbed a 76-28 victory over the visiting Owls (1-16, 0-12 CC) Saturday afternoon at Gooding Arena.

The Fords had three scorers in double figures, with Centennial Conference leading scorer Anna-Sophia Capizzi using a late fourth quarter surge to post a game-best 16 points. Megan Furch had 14 points and added eight rebounds, while Caroline Andersen contributed 14 off the bench, matching a career high while proving to be a force in the post for the hosts. Cortlyn Morris had a career-best nine rebounds to lead all comers. Haverford used a massive rebounding advantage to pull away from Bryn Mawr early on in the contest, holding a 55-22 edge on the glass in the matinee.

Haverford began the contest on a quick 15-0 spurt, with an early Capizzi trey serving as a prelude to consecutive flawless charity stripe trips for Furch. Andersen came off the bench to cap the run for the hosts, finding a layup for the 15-point advantage in the waning moments of the opening stanza. A 20-5 second quarter helped Haverford break it open heading to the intermission, with Andersen adding four points in the quarter while Capizzi notched five in limited action. Nyla Robinson came alive in the second, with four assists and a pair of steals.

The third saw the Fords unleash another 15-0 run to close the quarter, as Andersen poured in back-to-back layups ahead of a three-pointer from Lauren Howard. In the fourth, Haverford was able to work in some reserves, as every player to suit up on Saturday saw the court. Kayla Robinson added four points, while Kaitlyn Patterson connected on a late trey, the first of her career.

Brendan Harrison had eight points to pace the Owls. Haverford's 23 assists in the contest matched the eighth-most in program history.

Centennial Conference play continues for Women's Basketball as the Fords will head to Collegeville for an 8 p.m. tip-off with Ursinus on January 29. The contest will be preceded by the Haverford men clashing with the Bears at 6 p.m. The Fords then wrap up another busy week with a home contest with Dickinson on Saturday, February 1 (1 p.m.)
