F&M split a doubleheader with McDaniel in 2021, dropping the first game 9-2 while picking up the second 3-1. Kyle Roche twirled a seven inning, three hit, 11 K gem in the win.

Game Notes

  • F&M had a week for the record books, winning all three matchups in impressive fashion - combining for 42 runs across the victories.

  • Fun fact: The Diplomats were 3-48 entering this season under Ryan Horning when allowing opponents to score 10+ runs. This season? 2-1.

  • AJ Desautels has impressed through his first 16 starts as a Diplomat, reaching base in every single one of them. Desautels went .500 last week, hitting 6-12 including a 4-5, four RBI effort against Lebanon Valley. He currently ranks fourth in the Centennial in hitting at .423.

  • F&M can miss some bats, showcased by its 8.95 K/9 that ranks second in the Centennial. Greg Nieskens ranks second overall with 11.22 K/9 in his five appearances (three starts).

  • Bobby Falese continues his stretch of driving in runners, now with 26 RBI in 17 games. Falese ranks third in the conference, but has five games in hand on the McDaniel pairing that has 33 and 32 RBI, respectively.

  • Dan Galef tossed his third straight scoreless relief appearance against Albright, punching out the side in the seventh, then striking out two more in the eighth.

  • Will Samuel had an RBI is all three games last week, and now has driven in at least one run in six of his last seven.
