SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's track and field team registered four top-3 finishes at the Susquehanna Invitational on Saturday.
Leading the Bullets on the track was senior
Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde), as he ran his fastest time in the 800-meter run (1:58.24) to capture third in the event out of 42 competitors. His time is now 10th best in program history. Also finishing in the top-10 was fellow classmate
Matt Robinson (Taneytown, Md./Pinkerton Academy [N.H.]), who took ninth (2:03.82).
In the 5,000-meter run, freshman
Patrick Neighbour (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) placed seventh (17:14.86) and junior
Jonathan Gronke (Morris Plains, N.J./Morristown) took 10th (17:33.91).
Sophomore
Nicholas Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey), freshman
Matthew Weller (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), freshman
Steven Heinbaugh (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield), and senior
Thad Cwiklinski (Glen Rock, Pa./York Catholic) posted a 3:35.84 mark in the 4x400-meter relay to take third-place.

Nick Kowgios (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./North Salem), sophomore
Owen Crosby (Wilmington, Del./Newark), and senior
Mike Miller (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) finished fourth in the distance medley relay, clocking a time of 11:11.73.
Cwiklinski grabbed ninth-place in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 54.31.
On the field, junior
Ken Barnes (Edison, N.J./Westminster School [Conn.]) registered second in the long jump, leaping 21-10.00, which is now a new personal record (PR) and moves him up to third all-time in the event at Gettysburg. His previous mark was 21-3 1/4.
Fredrick Tubula (Narok, Pa./Friends Select School) claimed third in the triple jump, finishing with a 42-00.00 mark.
In the high jump, Weller notched a mark of 5-08.75 to take seventh in the event.
Senior
Mike Cortese (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddon Township) tossed 42-00.00, which is now a new personal record (PR) in the weight throw to tally 11th. His previous PR was 40-10 1/4.
Gettysburg picks up its schedule Feb. 23-24 at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championship, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College.
