SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore College Volleyball fought hard in the opening match of the Garnet Quad Match, but fell to the visiting Marymount Saints at Tarble Pavilion on Friday night.
The Garnet fell in three sets 21-25, 21-25, and 19-25.
Chloe Mayhue led the way with ten kills for Swarthmore.
Swarthmore challenged Marymount in the second by opening up the set with two service aces from
Sierra Tyson both in the direction of Jasmine Roy. The Garnet would take a 3-1 advantage on an kill by
Emma Morgan-Bennett.
Mayhue's match included a solo block and an assisted block against the Saints. Tyson recorded 18 assist, 16 digs and two service aces for the Garnet.
Isabelle Andrews notched two solo blocks and two assisted blocks, while
Alyssa Nathan added three service aces.
The Garnet fall to 9-8 on the season. Swarthmore will have a quick turnaround as they return to the court on Saturday as they close out the Garnet Quad matches with a 10:00 AM match against Messiah College and a 4:00 PM match against the University of Scranton.
