HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Cross Country placed fourth at the 2018 Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon with a score of 137 and an average time of 27:19 in the 8K.
Sophomore Kevin Hudson had the best score for the Garnet, tallying 21 points with a time of 26:47.0.
Vaughn Parts followed just five seconds behind with a final time of 26:52.3 and a score of 22.
Freshman Brendan Penfold registered the third-best Garnet time of 27:09.7 and posted 26 points.
Swarthmore's fourth score came from Lucas Heinzerling (27:54.4) at 33. Senior William Colgan gave Swarthmore 35 points with his time of 5:37.1.
Swarthmore's other times included: Jonah Ring (27:56.3), Ethan Rothenberg (27:57.4), Evan Baker (28:05.4), Grayson Mick (28:41.2), Elliot Kenaston (28:44.7), John Duarte (28:50.8), and Graham Doskoch (29:01.1).
Swarthmore competes in the NCAA Regional Championships on Nov. 10 in Center Valley, Pa.
