Men’s 4x400 Competes at Penn Relays

4x400 Compete in One of the Nation’s Most Prestigious Track Meets

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's track and field 4x400-meter relay team competed at the historic Penn Relays on Friday.
 
Senior Thad Cwiklinski (Glen Rock, Pa./York Catholic), sophomore Nicholas Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey), freshman Matthew Weller (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), and freshman Steven Heinbaugh (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield) competed in the College Men's 4x400 Pop Haddleston MAC Relay and finished ninth with a time of 3:29.49. The teams participating in the relay were also other Division III schools with a total of five Centennial Conference schools representing.
 
Now in its 125th year, the Penn Relays is the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States. The three-day meet annually attracts some of the top high school, college, and professional track and field athletes from around the world.
 
Gettysburg continues its season on Saturday, when it competes at the Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Invitational in the team's final competition before the Centennial Conference Championships.
