FLEETWOOD, Pa. - Swarthmore College Men's Golf earned a fourth place finish at the Golden Oaks Shootout on Saturday at the Golden Oaks Golf Club.

Alex Cheriel was the top scorer for the Garnet with a 149 for an eighth place finish over the two day event. In round one, Cheriel carded a 73 and finished the event with a 76 on Saturday. Michael Brown shot a 77 on Friday and a 75 on Saturday for a total event of 152. 

Samuel Bartone finished tied for 25th with a event score of 154. Bartone scored a 78 in round one and a 76 on day two. Ankur Malik, a 156, and Jackson Murphy a 161 rounded out the top five for the Garnet.

Swarthmore will return to the links on October 9th as they compete in the McDaniel Invitational. The two-day event will take place at Bridges Golf Club.
