SCRANTON, PA – The Cabrini women's golf team returned to action today, as the Cavaliers competed in the Marywood Spring Invitational at Glenmaura National Gold Club. The Blue and White posted a team score of 413 to finish fourth.
Sophomore
Vic Monterosso led the Cavaliers, firing a round of 86 to finish third overall.
Freshman
Kelly Cahill's 96 was good for 13th, while junior
Abi Fricke finished 15th, one spot ahead of freshman
Marisa Linsky.
Jefferson University claimed the top team prize with a combined score of 350, scoring a five stroke win over Scranton.
Scranton's Maddy Buhler posted the day's low round of 80, besting Jefferson's Audrey Moon by five strokes.
The Cavaliers will return to action this weekend, as they make their inaugural appearance at the Centennial Conference Championship. The 36-hole tournament will get underway on Saturday at Lancaster, PA's Conestoga Country Club.
