Four Muhlenberg competitors placed in the top four at the Northeast/Mideast Futures Tournament.

Leading the way were senior Mike Cannon and sophomore Ronnie Grevera, who placed second at 184 and 157, respectively. Sophomore Ramiro Osuna was third at heavyweight, and sophomore Nick Cope came in fourth at 165.

Cannon (pictured above right) placed in a tournament for the first time in his Mule career. He reached the final with a major decision and 4-2 decision and was tied late in the championship bout before getting taken down.

Grevera (pictured above left) improved on his sixth-place finish at last year's Futures Tournament, winning three decisions en route to the final.

Osuna had an impressive run after dropping his opening bout by a 3-0 score to the eventual champion. He won all five of his consolation bouts, including two against Muhlenberg teammates, and in the consolation final posted a 5-4 decision against a former New Jersey state placewinner.

Cope also posted the highest tournament place of his Mule career, splitting four matches. He scored a reversal in the closing seconds of his consolation semifinal bout for a 3-2 win.

Freshmen Jeorcy Peña (133) and Jackson Karrat (149) won a pair of bouts apiece.
