• Short Story:
Maya Hammonds earned a third-place finish in the heptathlon while
Annie Gutierrez finished in fourth and
Catharine Wain came in sixth at the Mount Multis.
Johns Hopkins Winners:
• As expected, Hammonds took home first-place in the long jump with a mark of 5.67 meters, which was .20 meters farther than the second-place finisher,
Jenn Su. Hammonds also captured a victory in the 800-meter run as she crossed the line in 2:28.16.
Other Meet Highlights:
• Hammonds entered day two of the heptathlon trailing leader
Jenn Su by 234 points as she was just 127 points out of second place entering the final three events. She captured two event wins on the day and her victory in the long jump put her in second, but a sixth-place finish in the javelin (22.33 meters) put her third in the event with 4,563 total points, 137 out of second. Jillian Kilmer finished second overall in the event, and her second-place finish in the javelin helped her jump over Hammonds.
• Gutierrez opened up day two in fourth, trailing Hammonds by 127 points and she would finish the day there as she totaled 3,935 total points in the event. She finished sixth in the long jump (4.75m), fifth in the javelin (23.28 meters) and fifth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:33.10.
• Wain wrapped up day one in sixth-place with 2,082 total points and she finished day two with 3,677 total points as she remained in sixth for the day. She captured a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.15 meters and finished in eighth in the javelin with a throw of 21.89m. She wrapped up the day with a third-place finish in the 800-meter run as she clocked in with a time of 2:31.08.

• Short Story: Hopkins produced three individual winners as JHU won four events overall to fuel their third-place finish in the final team standings with 95 total points. Towson won the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational with 224.5 total points.
Johns Hopkins Winners:
• Senior
Shaina Palmer grabbed the top spot in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:48.20. The time is the best of her career and this is her first career victory.
• Sophomore
Ava Kelley clocked in at 11:51.56 to win the steeple chase; this was also Kelley's first career victory.
• Sophomore
Veronica Montane easily grabbed the top spot in the javelin with a toss of 39.10 meters (128'3"). This is the third time in her career that Montane has won the javelin at a meet, including the second straight after she placed first at the Towson Invitational last week.
• Montane added a second first-place finish on the day as she took the top spot in the triple jump as well. Her leap of 11.24 meters (36'10.5") was more than two-feet longer than the runner-up.
Other Meet Highlights:
•
Chinaza Nwankpa registered a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (25.97) and an eighth-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.67.

Alexandra Damron earned a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.82 and a ninth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.26. Her 400 time is currently 21
st in Division III.
• In the 800-meter dash,
Arielle Summitt clocked in with a time of 2:19.32 which gave her fifth overall while
Ella Baran finished in ninth with a time of 2:23.35.

Mikayla Bisignani earned a third-place finish in the discus with a throw of 43.14 meters and followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 11.59 meters. Her mark in the discus currently ranks 15
th in the country.

Cherease Lamm earned a second-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.59 meters while
Kelsey Neff registered a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.34 meters.
• The Blue Jays captured spots three, four and six in the pole vault with Gutierrez and
Sophia Cortazzo leading the way with marks of 3.35 meters while Wain finished in sixth with a mark of 3.05m.
