Ethan Murphy (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) turned in his best collegiate finish, tying for fourth overall and Gettysburg College tied for second overall at the Weyhill Classic hosted by Moravian College at the Saucon Valley Country Club Monday afternoon.

Match Summary: Gettysburg finished six strokes shy of the team title with four of its five starters finishing among the top seven. Murphy led the way with his best individual finish at a collegiate event, tying for fourth overall with a 76. The senior posted a pair of birdies on the front nine and added a third birdie on the par-5, 569-yard 12th hole. Murphy ended his day with five consecutive pars.
Harcourt, Rieger, and Ropiak finished just one stroke shy of their senior teammate in a seven-way tie for seventh. All three Bullets dropped their scores on the back half of the course, shooting just one-over on the final nine holes. Harcourt opened the back half with a birdie and posted seven-straight pars to close his day. Rieger tallied all three of his birdies on the back nine, including the par-5, 529-yard 18th hole. Ropiak managed a dozen pars and joined Harcourt with a birdie on No. 10.
Kalamar rounded out the lineup with an 82 to finish in 29th in the return to his hometown. The sophomore picked up birdies on No. 8 and No. 18.
